Each assessment is structured around the characteristics of the product, its materials and its manufacturing processes.

Product Carbon Footprint focuses specifically on greenhouse gas emissions expressed as CO₂ equivalent.

For some rail products, manufacturers or customers may require a broader Life Cycle Assessment or Environmental Product Declaration, covering environmental indicators beyond climate change.

PCF-X can determine whether the requirement received from the customer concerns a Product Carbon Footprint, a broader LCA, or an EPD-type assessment and define the appropriate methodological approach.
